TIN is Taxpayer identification number and which is an employer identification number assigned by the internal revenue service when registering company to do business.

TAN is stands for tax deduction account number and collection account number which is 10 digit alpha numeric number required to obtained by all persons who are responsible for deducting and collecting tax it is compulsory to quite TAN filling return of  tds/tcs.
